Acadiana's Cajun Meats & Spices ships orders utilizing Fed ex Ground, 2nd Day Air, and Next Day Air out of Lafayette, Louisiana. Alaska and Hawaii can only be shipped Fed ex 2nd Day Air or Next Day Air

Shipping Rates

Shipping rates are calculated by the total weight of the order and the postal zip code to where the order is being shipped using Fed ex shipping tables. We do not mark up the rate on shipping charges. We charge exactly the shipping charge that is given to us by fed ex. Should no one be at home to receive your order, it is recommended that you send your package to a business or commercial address to ensure delivery. We are not liable for deliveries when the customer is not available to receive the order.

Perishable Foods

When ordering meats or frozen dinners, your total perishable order must be a minimum of 5 pounds and must be delivered Fed ex Next Day. All other orders may be delivered Fed ex ground. If perishable foods are in stock, the order will be shipped on Mondays thru Thursdays. Orders placed on Thursday for perishable foods must be received no later than 10 am for same day shipment. Orders placed after 10 am Thursday will not be shipped out until Monday. All perishable orders are final and cannot be returned.

All perishable foods must be shipped out fed ex overnite. Unless otherwise specified, we use standard overnite, the cheaper overnite rate, which is guaranteed to arrive the next day by 3pm in some states and 4:30pm in other states. Fed ex overnite charges can range between 10-50 dollars or more depending on the amount of pounds and the shipping location. To find out an approximate cost, you may call us toll free or you may call fed ex at 1-800-Go-fedex. Give them our zip code of 70503 and your zip code along with an approximate weight. Five pounds of meat, packaged and gel packed averages about 10#. They can give you a fairly close approximation.

A handling fee is charged on all orders to cover the cost of the leak proof box, gel packs, Styrofoam peanuts, bubble wrap, and gift wrapping.

Order Tracking

After you have completed you order, you will receive a notification by email that you order is being processed and the tracking number assigned to your order. Depending on Fed ex service, it may take 2-10 business days for delivery of Fed ex ground orders. To track your order, you may call Fed ex with your tracking number or go to their web site.
